Enjoying the training and the people around you will make it effortless. Get a set of Zipp racing wheels they might just make you go faster
BIOGRAPHY: Lise has always loved sports. She competed as a long distance runner from the age of 10 and in high school played hockey too. She ran track races (800m, 1 500m, 3 000m and 10 000m), cross country and road races (10km and 21.1km). After graduating from the University of Pretoria where she had completed her B.Com in Accounting, she accepted a running scholarship at the University of Tulsa in the USA, where she undertook her MBA. Upon completing her studies, she began working at a fulltime job, and no longer had time to train twice a day.
In 2007, she bought a road bike as an alternative to running. She rode on weekends, but soon became more involved in the cycling community and began to ride competitively. In 2009 she decided to move back to South Africa to pursue a career in cycling. In 2010 she rode for the Bizhub Pro Team and was also part of the South African team that competed at the African Continental Championships. Since joining Team MTN-Qhubeka, she has continued to score impressive finishes both locally and internationally. In 2011 she was offered a guest spot on the Danish OCK Team to ride the Tour Feminin en Limousin in France.
